HowTo: Make a Garmin Map

Tools Required:

• GPSMapEdit
  • Editor to convert tracks into mapsets.  Also allows tracing of satellite imagery to create maps.
• cgpsmapper
  • For converting tracks into a Garmin map.
• Mapsettoolkit
  • For installing the cgpsmapper map into Mapsource.
• GPSBable (Optional)
  
  • Combines multiple gpx files into a single gdb file (useful for collecting tracks from the gps into a single file).
• NSIS (Optional)
  
  • Creates an executable setup file for easy installation into Mapsource.
